Meeting Minutes
Meeting minutes from October 28, 2004 were reviewed and approved by motion. It was mentioned that there was a spelling error that seemed to change the context of the notes but it was not pointed out and Al Vill stated the he would let me know what that error was.
A spread sheet was distributed to all present that
clearly outlined the income and expenses so far this year. Treasurer Millie
Hunt then explained each item on the spread sheet. No questions were asked and
all were satisfied with the financial report.
Field day is tentatively scheduled for Saturday
November 27, 2004. Te weather for this coming weekend is looking like there may
be some games cancelled due to rain so make ups will be held on 11-27-04 and
11-28-04. Should this occur the Field day will be held on 12-4-04.
Topsoil, Grass seed and Salt hay will be ordered and
the fields will be patched up. If the
fields do not mend the way we need them to we may look to start the season at
Riley school field.
For any parents that have not worked off their bond
now is a great time to do so.
Al talked about the need for some one to step up and
start working with Tom Hardy to learn how to take care of the fields. This
spring will be the last opportunity to have Tom show
anyone the ropes.
USA Training is concluded for this fall. Each team
should have had 8 training sessions. The trainers have not been verified for
the spring but
The U-19 Alliance will also receive
There is still 5,000.00
outstanding from the fall fund raising cash buyout for USA Training. If you do
not know who is outstanding from your team please see Treasurer Millie
Hunt.
There have been an unusual number of checks returned
this season. Members who have more than one check returned will be placed on a
cash only basis. Several members have already been advised of their cash only
status. Names were specifically not mentioned!
There are 2 teams that are currently enrolled to
play indoor soccer at the
U-19 Alliance was approved by the Board via email
vote 6-0 with one board member not available to vote. Pete Kelly was approved
as the manager and the $400.00 fee was also approved in the same e-mail vote.
U-19 Girls team is starting to form the info is on
the Web site. The U-19 Girls team will seek parental approval for a
trainer/game day coach fee to be paid in installments.
U-13-Girls meeting is
scheduled to take place November 20, 2004 at Kenneth Ave Field at 9:00am.
U-19 boys team coach will
be Pete Kelly. The boys had their 1st practice yesterday and 16
players showed up. The U-19 boys will try to get the parents to approve a
training /game day coach fee to be paid for in installments.
The snack stand will not be prefabricated as
originally thought. It will be constructed and be 24feet by 24feet with two
bathrooms. Because of this the project must go out for re-bid.
Spring canning is set for the week prior to the
start of the spring season. Not sure what that date is yet.
Other fund raisers to offset Spring Training were:
Kidstuff books (fall only), Joe Corby Pizza Sale, Winter
Clothing sale and
