Meeting Minutes

Meeting minutes from October 28, 2004 were reviewed and approved by motion. It was mentioned that there was a spelling error that seemed to change the context of the notes but it was not pointed out and Al Vill stated the he would let me know what that error was.

Financials

A spread sheet was distributed to all present that clearly outlined the income and expenses so far this year. Treasurer Millie Hunt then explained each item on the spread sheet. No questions were asked and all were satisfied with the financial report.

Fields

Field day is tentatively scheduled for Saturday November 27, 2004. Te weather for this coming weekend is looking like there may be some games cancelled due to rain so make ups will be held on 11-27-04 and 11-28-04. Should this occur the Field day will be held on 12-4-04.

Topsoil, Grass seed and Salt hay will be ordered and the fields will be patched up.  If the fields do not mend the way we need them to we may look to start the season at Riley school field.

For any parents that have not worked off their bond now is a great time to do so.

Apprentice field caretaker

Al talked about the need for some one to step up and start working with Tom Hardy to learn how to take care of the fields. This spring will be the last opportunity to have Tom show anyone the ropes.

USA Training

USA Training is concluded for this fall. Each team should have had 8 training sessions. The trainers have not been verified for the spring but USA will be performing the training again in the spring.

The U-19 Alliance will also receive USA training this spring.

Fund Raisers

There is still 5,000.00 outstanding from the fall fund raising cash buyout for USA Training. If you do not know who is outstanding from your team please see Treasurer Millie Hunt.

There have been an unusual number of checks returned this season. Members who have more than one check returned will be placed on a cash only basis. Several members have already been advised of their cash only status. Names were specifically not mentioned!

Winter Training

There are 2 teams that are currently enrolled to play indoor soccer at the Center Circle in Rahway. There are many other locations to train during the winter months. Randolph, Somerville and Westfield all have companies that provide indoor training.
