Millie Hunts re-election as Treasurer

Meeting Minutes were not reviewed because the Secretary did not have time obtain photo copies. It was noted that a copy was at the meeting if anyone wished to review them and that they are available on line at the clubs web page.
1) Treasurer Millie Hunt
reviewed the Financials and provided a handout. Basically the club was able to
stay within its projected budget for 2005. The re was one budget line item that
did over run the budget forecast; Field Maintenance over ran the budget by
$1,000.00.
2) Field Status- fields look
very good. Play off games for the Blast and the Sonics are scheduled.
a) A field duty day is being
planned for June 25th when the fields will be air-rated and seeded.
3) South Plainfield Soccer Club
has 2 flight champions confirmed for the spring season. Congratulations to the
U-12 Sonics and U-13 Blast. As stated in item 2 playoff games are being
scheduled.
4) Registration for the Fall 05
and Spring 06 season will be held on Monday July 11th (with a second
date on Monday July 18th if necessary) at Grant Central School.
a) The school gym will be set
up in three sections section one will be an area to view the SAGE video. You
must sign that you saw the video before you can move to section two the registration
tables. Section three is the payment area. Note: anyone still owing the Club
money for the fall 04 Spring 05 season will be required to pay at registration
b) This coming season fees are as follows:
i)
Registration $150.00
full seasonal year $80.00 half
season
ii) Training buy out $100.00 full seasonal year $50.00 half season
iii) Canning buy out $100.00 full seasonal year $50.00 half season
iv) Work Bond $50.00 Note: if you buy out of
canning and training at registration night there is no Work Bond charge!
v) Uniforms $75.00 for a full uniform
including home and away jersey, 1 pair shorts and 1 pair socks
vi) 2nd child
discount $100.00 full seasonal year $80.00 half season
vii) 3rd child
discount free
5) MetroStars youth soccer U-13
and U-16teamss will be playing games at Kenneth Ave field on June 23, 2005
a) U-12 Power will run the
concision stand during these games
6) Coaching from the side lines
remind the parents that the game is for fun and it’s for the children “the
players” Most of this years problems were caused by fans of our opponents and
poor referring. Still try and keep the in appropriate sideline coaching to a
minimum.
7) Summer Training camps are
being run by United Soccer Academy (USA) at our Kenneth Ave fields on August 22
2005 through August 26, 2005
a) Please notify your teams;
the more attendants by South Plainfield soccer club members the better. The
club could receive a donation from USA
b) U-14 Blaze had two training
session rained out and Rich Little (head coach) wants to make sure we did not
pay for these sessions.
8) Try out status- all full
sided teams except the Hotspurs and the Power have been rostered.
a) Tryouts for U-9 Storm, U-10
Rockets and U-11 Hotspurs will occur on Saturday June 18th 2005 9am
to 11am
b) Anyone willing to help out
should please make their intention known as any help is appreciated
c) Notifications of players who
did not make the team will be made by the head coachs. Exception any age group
with B teams the notifications will be made by a Executive Board member.
d) The new U-9 girls team (yet
to be named) will be coached by Bob Bichler until such time when an assistant
coach is ready and willing to assume the head coaching responsibility
9) Summer activities for the
South Plainfield Soccer Club can be held down at Veterans park on Monday or
Friday nights except on 6-24, 7-24 and 8/26. We do not hold the permit to use
the park on those dates.
10) Fall instructional program
for players who did not make a team can sign up for instructional training from
USA. USA would run the program and there would not be any additional cost to
the club.
11) Picture fund raiser is being
set up for this coming fall. The Club will arrange for a photograph to come
down for a day or two ( hopefully on 9-10/9-11 and take team pictures and then
make arrangements with coaches to take game day pictures. The team pictures and
game day pictures will then be made available to purchase with a portion of the
purchase price coming back to the club

13) Election of New Board
Members- Paul Baldasarre, Frank Mitrano, and Tracy Lundy were elected to Vice
presidents positions by a secret ballot vote. Millie Hunt was re-elected as
treasurer by nomination.
a) All members in attendance
were aloud to participate in the secret ballot voting regardless of membership
status. This decision was arrived at after the question was put to the floor to
see if there were any objections regarding this deviation from the by-laws
