Meeting Minutes were not reviewed but were approved by President Vill. This was due to a mix up where by individual copies were not available to membership present at tonight’s meeting. A file copy was available for review (there were no requests to review the meeting minutes).

Finance

A financial activity summary was distributed and explained by Millie Hunt No objections were noted.

 

Fields

Al Vill discussed the fact that the field conditions are considered excellent. Al also noted that the Thursday night program of field lining was going well.

 

USA Training

Make sure that you have an open line of communication with your USA trainer the U-9 Rockets and the U-11 Bullets have a trainer that does not communicate freely or willingly. The trainer should ask how your team performed over the weekend, ask what you want to work on or at least tell you what he has planned for the training session.

 

If you need to make up a training session you can schedule it with your trainer but make sure you notify Millie Hunt. Millie need this information for payment verification. Please note that if you have a trainer come to a game the club may get billed for 2 hours instead of the usual 1.5 hours

 

Candy Sale

The U-12g Power is the only team that has not responded with a box count. As such the Power will have to come up with the money for training. They may still do a fund raiser but must organize it themselves.

 

 

 

Rutgers  Soccer

Bob Bichler is organizing a trip to Rutgers stadium to watch Rutgers vs. Notre Dame Rostered Players and coaches receive free admission but they must follow guide lines that Bob will e-mail out. Any parents that are not listed on a team roster  will be required to pay

 

Parking

The town (at the request of Mike Grennier) is having an engineering firm investigate what steps are necessary to improve the parking situation. The situation is Sunday mornings there is a capacity problem because their are more cars than parking spaces to accommodate the people who show up for football games and soccer games.

 

Note: The road in front of the soccer fields are a public street and the soccer club has no right or authority to stop anyone from parking there.

 

The South Plainfield Soccer Club will host a lighting ceremony on October 2, 2004  where the Mayor and Council of South Plainfield will turn over the lights to the South Plainfield Soccer Club

 

Canning

This year the canning effort put forth by the club set a new record taking in $6,743.87. There was a lot of participation by players 80% of the players required to can met their obligation.

Game Day Injury

On Sunday September 26, 2004 The South Plainfield Fire was playing Monroe. An injury was received by a Monroe player. The South Plainfield rescue squad was called to the scene. A member of the rescue squad advised one of the parents of the South Plainfield Fire that they had violated a law concerning patients confidentiality by video taping the treatment the player received by the rescue squad. The rescue squad further went on and asked that this person erase the portion of his video tape that contained the rescue squad treating the injured player.
