This was the General Meeting for August 2004. The meeting was originally scheduled for August 26, 2004 but had to be rescheduled to September 2, 2004 due to conflicts in schedules.
Meeting Minutes
July 04 meeting minutes were reviewed individually and approved. July expenditures and income was reviewed.
New Coaches
This was the first meeting for new head coaches Paul
Billich U-12 Spirit. Alos in attendance for the 1st time was Cheryl
Papa U-9 Thunder, Michelle Billich, Vijay Bijlani U-13 Ice, AnnMarie
Ferante-Seyffart U10- Hotspurs.
Parking
Glen Gross is going to check to see if the Town
Council will allow the gate separtting the Soccer/Foot Ball Fields from the
Compactor/Recycle are to be opened on days when there are football games and
soccer games.
Game Schedules

Canning
The canning will run approximately 21/2 hours per
shift. No teams have come forward yet to arrange their time slot for canning.
It is a first come first serve basis so get
in there and set it up before it gets set up for you.
Parade
The float decorating will be performed at Halls
Trucking wear house at 9am on Kentile Rd. All members are welcome and
encouraged to participate.
Uniforms
127 of the 160 uniforms have been delivered (and
distributed after tonights meeting). Socks and large uniform jerseys are on
back order. It would be Ok to wear your old uniform during the parade if
necessary.
Field Duty
Field Duty was held on Saturday 8-28 and was a great
Success. The Following people were in attendance.

USA Training
Training will be predominately on Tuesday evenings
at Kenneth Ave Fields. There are 2 teams that may train on Mondays but that
needs to be firmed up
It is not likely that USA will have all of it’s
trainers set up and ready to begin the training sessions by 9-7-04 as
originally thought. If your trainer has contacted you and set up a session
before 9-14-04, confirm with them that they have been registered with NJYSA and
received their Coaches Card.
Training Camp
Soccer Squirts training for 3-5 year olds starts on
9-18-04 and runs for 7 weeks
Senior Soccer Squirts training for 6-8 year olds
starts on 9-18 and runs 7 weeks
All money from Senior Soccer Squirts goes to the
club
We need a volunteer to sit with USA on Wednesday
9-8-04 at the Pal during the registration period (7pm to 9:30pm
Picnic
Preparations are going well. The Picnic is September
18, 2004 and is being organized by Ann Marie Ferante-Seyffart. Most Teams have
a representative, please check with your rep to find out what your team is
responsible to bring.
Along with what ever the team is responsible to
supple each coach must bring a large cooler full of ice
Mid NJYSA Mandatory Meeting for Coaches
1-Mid New Jersey Youth Soccer Assn. is holding a mandatory meeting on 9-9-04 and at least one Club member must attend.
2-Mid New Jersey Youth Soccer Association Mandatory Coaches Meeting is coming up this month check the MNJYSA Web Site for the date and time. At least one coach must be present from each team. (This is the meeting where the rule book is distributed and the changes are discussed.
Field Permits and Insurance Certificates
Field Permits are in the process of being obtained.
Please check with Al Vill to ensure that your team has one. Insurance
Certificates were distributed.
Field Permits and Insurance Certificates are
required to be with a team if they are playing or Practicing at a Borough owned
field. You maybe asked to produce these forms by a police officer. If you can’t
produce them and your are involved in a conflict with another club you maybe
ordered off the field by the police.
Packets
The Mid New Jersey Regional VP is processing the
packets quickly on average about 2 to 3 days turnaround time and the majority
of the teams have had their packets returned.
The Thunder and Ice are waiting for their “F”
licenses to come in. Al Vill is going to call NJYSA to find out if they can be
faxed to us to speed up the packet processing for those 2 clubs.
Re-scheduling Games
Tom Hardy has sent an e-mail out regarding
instructions on the proper way to re-schedule a game that had to be postponed.
If you do not follow this procedure the league (MNJYSA) will not recognize the
results of the re-scheduled game. This could represent a problem if your team is in contention to win it’s
flight or Divisional Championship.

New Jersey Youth Soccer Assn. League Handbook.
Weekly Field Duty
This year each of our 3 fields will be lines on
Thursday evening. Tom Hardy discussed the e-mail he sent out detailing how each
team is going to be required to help.
Each team has been assigned a week when their team
must a representative to assist Tom line the fields.
